Management and excutive committee
Upon recommendation from the LTE and LPL management teams, the Board of Directors appoints, for a renewable three-year term, a Director and a Deputy Director, neither of whom may be members of the Board. These roles alternate every three years between candidates proposed by LTE and LPL.
The current Director of the infrastructure is Christian Chardonnet (LPL), and the Deputy Director is Paul Éric Pottie (LTE).
The Executive Committee is composed of:
- The Director and Deputy Director
- One representative from RENATER
- One representative from LPL
- One representative from LTE
The Director chairs the Executive Committee and may invite any relevant individual to its meetings, including:
- The Operational Manager of the Metrological Instrument
- A representative from the RENATER Network Division
- A representative from the FIRST-TF research federation/Labex
The role of the Executive Committee is to advise and provide formal opinions to the REFIMEVE leadership on strategic decisions, with an emphasis on consensus building. Its mandatory responsibilities include:
- Proposing a list of members for the Scientific Council to the Board of Directors
- Validating applications from new USERS requesting access to REFIMEVE, which are then confirmed by the Board
- Approving the proposed activity program of the Metrological Instrument and Advanced Projects, following feedback from the Scientific Council
- Approving access policies to the Metrological Instrument
- Approving data management and governance policies for the outputs of the Metrological Instrument
- Approving proposals for upgrades to the Metrological Instrument, including network configuration, updates to REFIMEVE Equipment, Signal Generation Equipment, and Academic Equipment, and defining operational criteria for the Metrological Network
- Approving specifications and maintenance procedures for all Metrological Instrument Equipment in public tenders
- Proposing and/or validating international collaborations, especially those aiming to connect the Metrological Instrument to other networks in Europe or beyond, in line with the strategic directions set by the Board of Directors
