The REFIMEVE national research infrastructure enables the distribution of ultra-stable frequency and time signals across 9,000 km of optical fiber, connecting over 30 laboratories throughout France. The exceptional accuracy of these signals—reaching beyond 10-18 — supports a wide range of scientific applications in fundamental physics, quantum technologies, photonics, geodesy and climate research, and the synchronization of large instruments in astrophysics and particle accelerators.
