Board of directors

The Board of Directors is composed of statutory members, two external experts, and several non-voting participants.

Statutory members are:

• One appointed representative from CNRS
• One appointed representative from GIP RENATER
• One appointed representative from USPN
• One appointed representative from Observatoire de Paris
• One appointed representative from LNE

Non-voting participants include:

• The Director and Deputy Director
• A representative from the French Ministry of Higher Education and Research (MESR)
• A representative from PSL University
• A representative from Sorbonne University

Main responsibilities of the Board of Directors include:

• Electing and dismissing the Chair of the Board
• Appointing and removing the Director and Deputy Director
• Approving the admission of new users
• Deciding on the exclusion of a user
• Approving the annual activity report and financial accounts of the infrastructure
• Reviewing annual reports from the Scientific Council and user committee
• Adopting and amending the internal rules and user charter
• Validating pricing rules for users
• Defining the overall strategic direction of the infrastructure, particularly regarding European and international activities
• Acknowledging the withdrawal of a party and taking any necessary action to ensure the infrastructure’s sustainability
• Deciding on the exclusion or admission of a party, upon proposal from the executive committee
• Adopting amendments to the agreement
• Dissolving the infrastructure and determining the necessary measures for its liquidation
• Proposing the transformation of the infrastructure into a new legal entity
